REVIEW: Buttons
REVIEW: Buttons
Well, there's been public design for long enough. Now we need to decide which designs to use. We can pick and choose from the various designs.
We need a layout for the following widgets:
* buttons
* radio buttons
* scrollbars
* sliders
* +/- buttons
* checkboxes
* listboxes
Buttons is the primary focus for this review, but people offered other designs as well, so it would be nice to have something semi-official for them. If you have other design suggestions at a later date, then we can consider them. The artwork will evolve as the project goes on, but for now we need to make a decision.
So these are the options, pick and choose what you like:

I prefer the dropdown box of image 1. The extra box around the arrow in image 3 seems unecessary and bulky
I like the radio buttons from 3, and the checkboxes, but the buttons seem too busy. The arrows inside the box seem redundant, but the color is nice.
I like the scrollbar of 3. The listbox is ok, but I think it's painful like tsev said. It might look good if it was a transparent box that made the text of the selected entry either a little brighter or a little darker, and maybe one of the green arrows at the left side of the selected entry.

I'm with Drek on this one. I like the radio buttons and the bottom row of #3, but not the larger boxes, the fun with butons font, or the strikethru highlight on yetanother. #1 is cleaner but the shapes seem a bit bulky.
so #1 and #3.
so #1 and #3.
Surprise and Terror! I am greeted by the smooth and hostile face of our old enemy, the Hootmans! No... the Huge-glands, no, I remember, the Hunams!
