Need more ships that look like the basic designs

The coolest looking ships in this game are the basic designed ones but they are also the lowest level and there is only 3 we needs more of those types of ships cause they look really cool.

I have considered introducing a tech for larger 'basic' hulls, they would/should never be as good as the advanced tech hulls that require extra shipyards but they would fill a gap.

And a 'transport' that's not built for combat but carrying stuff including troops and colonists would also be a good thing. If someone does the art I can do the scripting.

This is Space Opera and the ships are the Stars.

Actually I do understand your position, but only because currently there is no interactive graphical space combat so what the ships look like is sort of irrelevant.
I believe that may change though sometime not in the near future.

Possibly an age thing. I grew up playing games like Outreach where the ships are little cardboard counters, or Starweb where the fleets are numbers in a text listing.

To me, the game is the thing.
