Hi all...

I wanted to ask how active do you think FO movement is ATM and what are its prospects. Are you following to any degree how many people are interested in this project and if the numbers are growing or shrinking? It seems like a great project and it would be a shame if it slowed down completely...

Another thing I wanted to say is that these forums are a SUPERB source of ideas and arguments for anyone interested of making a 4x Space TBS game. Someone like me. Unfortunately my interests are not such that I could offer my help with your project - I am mainly a JAVA developer and not interested of learning C at this point. Great forums though - I hope you will never delete those older threads

In connection with this I would also like to know how you people feel about others using your ideas and concepts in their projects? I know about your different licenses, but it is still a different thing having someone on YOUR forum, reading your best ideas and then going and implementing them right away in some other project? And how would you look on someone rising a game-development related issue that is not connected with FO? Would you mind?

All publically accessible ideas on the forums are pretty much free for anyone to read and use. However ideas are cheap and (relatively) easy. Actually implimenting something is a lot of work.

How does one pirate freeware?? :confused:
