Does anybody have a more recent windows build? The systems I'm working on really can't compile anything on their own.
There have been 198 commits since the last build here, and I would be really thankful for a new one.

I haven't sent pd any new builds to host partly because after v0.3.17, there was a change in version of some dependencies, and it would be necessary to include numerous additional DLL files to be able to use the new version. To provide a new build, I'd pretty much have to make a release installer, optionally excluding the content files, which is more complicated than just zipping a few .exe and up to three GiGi .dll files.

I'd like a new build too. Seems like a lot of things have been done in the meantime...

I've uploaded a new Win32 build of a modified SVN 4521 as an installer. It's here:

Is this "test" build better then .4 RC3?

The latest build that's been posted is 0.4 RC3. There aren't forum posts about each test upload, and usually the latest test upload will be the newest, since usually there aren't any release builds from the last few days. However, since we're presently about to do the v0.4 release, the newest test build is actually currently a bit older than the RC3 build.

Haven't had time to visit in a few weeks. I saw that there were some more changes, mostly to detection... where can I get the newest version?

P.S. My ISP doesn't support SVN, as I found out the hard way with another game.

That's rather strange... But if you want to get the latest SVN without using SVN, you can download tarballs from sourceforge. There are links to download GNU tarball on all the SVN web view pages, like this one: http://freeorion.svn.sourceforge.net/vi ... FreeOrion/

I realized I don't have the program needed to compile after I got a tarball, so... please put up an .exe?

Well, just follow the link Geoff provided in his post above:
Clicking on this link will direct you to to the most recent test builds currently available. For Win that's r4838 ATM, which is maybe a bit outdated, but not much (current SVN is 4851 at the time of this post).

Please understand that the devs can't put up a binary for each SVN revision. They try to keep it close, however.
