FreeOrion

I've recently found that i'm being logged off of the FO forums before i can finish writing more than a brief post. I'm not using my normal Os or browser or computer, but i don't know why that would matter.

Is this happening to anyone else? Any ideas?

That's strange. What kind of OS, browser or computer are you using? Do you have access to browser settings? It sounds like maybe your cookies are deleted regularly(before you finish posting), but I'm not sure why this would happen. Are you using a public computer of some sort?

I'm stealing time on other family member's computers. Either IE8 on XP or Opera on Win7. I'm not especially familiar with these browsers or operating systems, but i could change the settings if i knew what i was doing.

the fact that i'm getting this issue on both setups made me wonder if the problem is not on my end, but it could be a coincidence.

When logging in, there is a check box to log you in automatically on each visit. Are you checking that?

I'm not sure about those browsers, but you should make sure, that cookies are allowed, at least for freeorion.org

Hmm, i checked that and don't seem to have the problem anymore. Apparently if you don't keep loading pages, your "visit" is over.
