Will there be a official Ubuntu Release for 0.4.5?

Hi,

is somebody capable of providing a Linux release (preferably Ubuntu/Debian) for the upcoming 0.4.5 build?
Currently there is only 0.4.3 available and an update would be great!

Here's a location for Debian: https://packages.debian.org/sid/freeorion

and here's one for Ubuntu: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeorion

I compile it myself, and so don't actually use those packages, but from what I understand they work dandy for many people.

Also, here is a post by the Debian maintainer about building from source the Debian way, if you want to go that route.

Hi,

the Debian maintainer here 8)

You can also add this PPA to your system which provides more current versions of FreeOrion. It is maintained by me.

http://www.freeorion.org/index.php/Down ... _.28PPA.29

At the moment you can install 0.4.5~RC1 for Ubuntu 14.04 and 15.04 via the PPA and it will be updated as soon as 0.4.5 is finally released.

The official Ubuntu releases ship newer versions of FreeOrion than 0.4.3 too. Dilvish already pointed you to the right location. It just requires an update of your system.
