Hi all,
I've just recently been playing FreeOrion and I love playing around with the universe_tables file to come up with different systems and whatnot.
But I have searched this site and in search engines for a detailed understanding of how the universe_tables work. Some things I've changed seem to have no effect at all, or have a different effect to what I expected.
Can someone point me to a place where the universe_tables are explained in more detail?
Thanks
(Ubuntu 15.10)

Re: Understanding universe_tables.txt
What version of FreeOrion are you modifying?
As far as I know, in the latest development builds, universe_tables.py is used, and this has been the case for almost a year.
universe_tables.py has comments in it to explain how it functions.

Looks like that change wasn't in v0.4.5: https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion/ ... generation
