Anybody got any idea why the Small Krill Swarm is in sitting there?

The Experimenters haven't been active yet so haven't been creating/destroying starlanes it might have gotten caught up in.

They're probably in a system that was previously only linked to the Experimenter system, it should be visible when your detection goes high enough.

Empire detection strength: 200.
Note Muphrid is the experimenter system.

Weird—to be sure, have you tried clicking the area where the system circle should be?

I have had cases where Experimentors grab a world and there's another system only linked to that world that they then cut off, which is what I'm trying to say here, Muphrid had a starlane going to where the Krill is. But you really ought to be able to see the presumed Deep Space system with that detection.

And it definitely doesn't look like it's a krill in transit on a now non-existent lane which, like you said, shouldn't have happened anyway.

Well, acts like there is one there if I click there (Deep Space, no star).

That's what it is then, a deep space system that's been cutoff by the experimentors. I think, but am not sure, that #834 might fix that, regardless it's one of those edge case things, you could put a starlane bore into it if you wanted.

Got back to finishing that one off. When the Experimenters did become active they created a starline to that system and it shows up as a normal Deep Space node with a starlane to it from the Experimenter outpost.

Maybe visible, disconnected deep space nodes should have some visible indicator (or all deep space nodes, for that matter)?

em3, the recent PR 834, should prevent any systems being isolated, except for the system the Experimentors are actually in.

True, but I also think that all nodes should have a circle even if they're not linked to anywhere—we hope that PR prevents it in this case, but there may be other effects introduced that remove lanes, etc.

Precisely.
