1) the technologies are all in white, and the different groups used to be in different colors
2) I just got this "Ancient Ruins in Miaplacidus revealed ERROR". Huh?

Likely the ruins created a ship of a design you don't know about, but still creating a sitrep about it that references that design.

One more - researched 'Singularity of Transcendence' in turn 665 (marked as Brings Victory), however, the game didn't end...

"Victory" means you get a happy special feeling. You also get to continue playing the game.
