Disappearing Fleets [7147]
Had several fleets at Dhrawn, nothing but damage (no ships destroyed), both my own fleets and the Cosmic Dragon simply vanished.
Haven't done anything else with it yet, let me know if you want the log files and/or saves.

Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
What was the situation on the turn before?
What does the combat log show?
Does it reproduce the same situation if you load the save?
Do any of the missing objects appear in the objects list?

Ok, played with it some more:
A battle had been fought at Dhrawn, with the Cosmic Dragon moving on to another system. I didn't move any of the my own fleets.Geoff the Medio wrote:What was the situation on the turn before?
A bunch of attacks doing damage through round 3.43.Geoff the Medio wrote:What does the combat log show?
Yes.Geoff the Medio wrote:Does it reproduce the same situation if you load the save?

Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
If you have a save from the turn before that reproduces the issues, that might be helpful.
Edit: Also, I have no idea what you've attached to the previous post... the freeoriond.zip just seems to contain a file called "freeoriond" which I can't tell what to do with... is it a save? A log file? Why no extension?

Well, not one you can read but can provide:Geoff the Medio wrote:If you have a save from the turn before that reproduces the issues, that might be helpful.

Not sure what happened there, will attach again to this one.Geoff the Medio wrote:Edit: Also, I have no idea what you've attached to the previous post... the freeoriond.zip just seems to contain a file called "freeoriond" which I can't tell what to do with... is it a save? Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
Can you post a screenshot of the objects list showing objects in the Dhrawn system, with ids showing in one of the columns, on the turn before the battle?
There are a bunch of messages in the log about trying to destroy nonexistant objects that I'm wondering about the source of...

Also, that save game is for after everything has disappeared -- even in verbose mode neither the server logs nor the client log show any objects at all to be in the Dhrawn system. Please post/link to a savegame that is for just prior to the battle.
If I provided any code, scripts or other content here, it's released under GPL 2.0 and CC-BY-SA 3.0

Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
The ids of the objects that are attempting to be destroyed in the logs match the ids of some of the ships in the objects list... I don't know why they're being destroyed, possibly repeatedly, but that seems notable. Perhaps there's an effect destroying everything...?
Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
Sorry, that was supposed to be turn 489, not sure why 490 ended up in there.Dilvish wrote:Also, that save game is for after everything has disappeared -- even in verbose mode neither the server logs nor the client log show any objects at all to be in the Dhrawn system. Corrected one:

Oh, note the colony disappears as well so it's not just ships/fleets.

Can't Cosmic Dragons cause nova explosions that destroy most / all stuff in systems?AndrewW wrote:...the Cosmic Dragon...
Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
Yes, yes they can, it's an earth shattering kaboom (that probably needs a sitrep, want me to work on it?)
Andrew, was Dhrawn showing up with the Nova Bomb Detonator special before it all went a bit weird?

Yup.MatGB wrote:Andrew, was Dhrawn showing up with the Nova Bomb Detonator special before it all went a bit weird?
Had thought Cosmic Dragons could do something like that, but figured there would be a SitRep about it...
Re: Disappearing Fleets [7147]
Not yet, we've been adding a fair few more of late but nowhere near finished, jut started a thread about it (Extra Sitreps), feel free to make suggestions for other effects you'd like to be specifically told about, if I can code it I'll give it a go (learning the sitrep scripting is ongoing, still getting there).
