Nvidia OpenGL driver... Try updating your video drivers? (From the manufacturer, not Windows Update)

Nvidia's installer states that I already have the latest version of their drivers installed (v340.52). I will attempt to repair the installation, however.

EDIT: No change in behavior.

The attached registry file should enable minidumps for crashing.

When an application crashes a memory dump is created in "%APPDATA%\FreeOrion\dumps". I limited the number of dumps to 3. It's the first time I tried this so I may generate no dump at all but if it does it would help us to debug this.

What? This is retarded.

Well, wrapping it up in a zip file.

Alright, so I updated my registry. However, I'm not sure what you mean by "%APPDATA%\FreeOrion\dumps". No such directory was created when the game crashed just a few moments ago. However, I did locate a dump file in AppData\Local\CrashDumps that was created for FreeOrion at the correct timestamp. This dump is 8 MB and is apparently too large for me to upload here, so I'll see if I can get it to you via Dropbox link.

Have same issue on 0.4.4 (windows 7*64, Nvidia drivers)
Game crashes on start (60%)
Game crashes on exit(100%) I just exit right after start.

You reg file does not work fo me. I will try again after update my drivers.

UPD. All works fine after driver update.

Really? This bug truly is bizarre. Updating my drivers did not seem to help. Have your tried restarting your system and running FreeOrion? I'm wondering if the driver update greatly reduced the frequency of crashes for you or entirely got rid of them.

Okay, so I have compressed the dump file significantly (from 8MB to 400KB) and it now can be uploaded, so it is attached to this post.

Another thing you could try is run FreeOrion.exe from the command shell. Some error messages are printed to the console, and this is the only way to see them. There might be some useful output...

That's why I always ran it that way.

I have crashes in 60% of attemsps. After I update my drivers (I does not need restart) I did not get any crashes. After reboot I make 10 attempts, works fine.
