I'm busy!

Here, various developers can tell you all about what they're up to, so you can yell at them for being idiots. "... and there was a great rejoicing."

I'm busy!

#1 Post by Geoff the Medio »

Just in case anyone's wondering, I'm rather busy right now with the start of a new academic term, impending travel, and dealing with a short-notice housing hunt and (eventually) moving in a city / neighbourhood with very low vacancies. Progress on FreeOrion coding and design by me will be slow for a while.

In case anyone's wondering again, I'm currently travelling, so have had and will have somewhat limited internet access and very limited time for FreeOrion stuff for the previous week or so, and for the following week or so.

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'm using this one. I'm currently quite busy as well. I've just started a 6 months internship, I'm moving to a new city right now and I'll probably have no internet for a couple of days.

Traveling again for a couple weeks. Will be in Munich for part of that, where I'll be rather busy.

Shall we delay the switch to github until you're back, or go ahead with the procedure? In the latter case, is there any remaining work you want to commit before the switch is made?

Heyas, like pd above I figure I may as well piggyback on this thread rather than starting another one. Anyone reading this has likely noticed that I've been too busy to do much here for the past few months. Thanks, CJ and Morlic for keeping up the work, and thanks Geoff and Vezzra helping them get stuff committed. I expect it will likely be another couple months or so before I can really start being noticeably involved again.

I have been rather busy for the last few weeks, and will be very busy for the next 10 days or so, and then will be traveling until the end of the month, with intermittent internet access and time.

(Hijacking this thread for my sinister purposes... ;))

As you've probably already noticed, I've been somewhat unresponsive for some time now. Sorry for that, RL got me once again. At one of my jobs a few things didn't go as planned, resulting in me having kind of to do "extra shifts" (meaning, I got swamped). This, and several other things in my personal life have severely cut into my FO time (and I have already been struggling with keeping up as it was).

Just wanted to give you guys a "heads up" about what's going on with me, so you don't think I've forgotten or am neglecting/ignoring you. I'll try to get back to all the stuff waiting for my attention (especially some PRs on github) once things have cleared up a bit. Please have patience, I know some of you are waiting for responses from me...

I will be on vacation (no coding) from 4 till 17 September. I don't plan to do any big changes before it.

I'll be on vacation for the next 2 weeks, but should be able to check the forums every other day or so.
