I can't see into a system that is within a scout's detection range?

Re: Can't see into some systems within scouts range? RC3
Also, the gas giant in my home system was obscured, stealth > your detection range of 30.
Edit: scratch this: The turn after an outpost base was built in this system it became visible, with nothing apparently special about it.
I went back a few turns and tried again without building the outpost base and the same thing happened. On turn 103 the gas giant became visible, and on turn 104 the mystery system, which was empty, became visible.

It looks to me like probably neither. My initial interpretation (could be wrong, but I think it's pretty likely) is that when your ship showed up in Hamal Gamma, the neighboring system was already in that Ion Storm, which adds 40 to the stealth of anything in it (for so long as it is in the Storm).UrshMost wrote:New feature or bug?
If I provided any code, scripts or other content here, it's released under GPL 2.0 and CC-BY-SA 3.0

I didn't know about that effect! And there was another one doing the same thing to my home system as well.
Thanks

Re: Resolved - Can't see into some systems within scouts ran
It is, actually, a new feature, until recently Ion Storms reduced stealth, which made little sense so it was reversed and now stuff stuck in them can be hidden. But they move fast and expand and contract quickly so it's a nice little atmospheric that, well, adds atmosphere
