A single male needs to be able to produce multiple "children" before turning female, for the population to grow and for the high male-to-female ration to exist.Nightfish wrote:Reproduction
When a female Eaxaw has available brood Cavities and sufficient food resources available she will select 1 or more males to mate with her. She will chose those that have the highest value and likelihood of producing valuable trading males. The male fertilizes the females Brood Cavities individual using a glad located on its belly. A flat fluk like 6 inch long Larval Eaxaw will emerge approximately 80 days later. Several will hitch rides on a mature male and be feed by it for about 1 year before they are large enough to travel unaided. Once a male has mated with a female it will undergo a metamorphosis into female form.

Re: The Eaxaw
Actually that issue is solved with the new female producing male clones.
If you only count females as "members" of society, then reproduction is Male becoming a female (as there are plenty of males automatically from a female)

O hey, what sort of ships do these guys have? Did the author leave any instructions on ship design? I've been holding on to some preliminary sketches for quite some time now, and I was just wondering, you know, just because.
Re: The Eaxaw
Nope... sadly no ship designs for this race exist... if you wanna design 'em... go for it!
