Game music
Hello!
I want to contribute my music for FreeOrion, if it suits for the game (for free of course):
https://gouldenberg.bandcamp.com/album/first-expedition - listen and free download on bandcamp
Also, you can read about this new genre (Sovietwave) here:
http://igloomag.com/reviews/gouldenberg ... expedition
In a few months, I will finish a new album, which I can also contribute for FreeOrion.
Clip for "1957" track:

I will be glad to help with music, so we can discuss about music. For example, I can write music special for FreeOrion.

Does "for free" mean under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license?Gouldenberg wrote:I want to contribute my music for FreeOrion, if it suits for the game (for free of course):

There are license type on bandcamp page: Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0)

Re: Game music
I've liked the music. It's less sleepy than the current one
The difference between licenses is that FO allows commercial uses while this music doesn't. I guess that is not a problem in the case of background music because any commercial release of FO could use it's own music?

It would need to be released under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 to be included with FreeOrion.Gouldenberg wrote:Almost!

Maybe I can change license to CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 in bandcamp settings, if it will be so, I'll write about this.
Anyway, I can release the next album with this license special for FreeOrion.
It might be in March-April, because I am working on Sands of Space soundtrack at the moment.
I am just want to know - does my music suits for FreeOrion gameplay?
Re: Game music
This is the opinion of just a player: it fits, it has actually that atmosphere.Gouldenberg wrote:I am just want to know - does my music suits for FreeOrion gameplay?
I personally have changed, sometimes, the default music to a selection of themes from Dune and Donnie Darko OSTs, which I prefer over default FO music because it somehow sends me to sleep. Your music, as well as Dune's and Donnie Darko's, is more active (which some my find better or worse) and have melodies that are closer to my personal tastes.

Re: Game music
The music has a feel of impending doom. Could it be made a bit more optimistic?
