Latest News:

  • FreeOrion 0.5.0.1 has been released - This is a bugfix release for 0.5. Windows and macOS installers are available on SourceForge and on GitHub. Linux users can use the snap package we provide on snapcraft.io (please be patient, it may take a few days until the 0.5.0.1 snap is available), or acquire from your distribution if available. If neither is possible, Linux users will need to build from source. Source tarballs are available from GitHub (please use the source tarball file with version and build number in the filename, not the links automatically created by GitHub). See the Compile page for more instructions. See this post for release notes. Vezzra 12:15, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Release candidates of FreeOrion 0.5.0.1 available! - Release candidate builds for the 0.5.0.1 maintenance release are now available on SourceForge for Windows and macOS. Testing and feedback on the forums for these candidates are appreciated. Vezzra 17:50, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
