I'm pretty sure it already does this...
Their all kept in the art/stars folder.

I agree the stars with the smaller centre look better, next batch more will be like that.

Does look better. Side panel still has a cluttered look. You know Im a fan of boxes fading in with extra info when you hover the mouse and press control. But you probably have your own thoughts on that. Swapping the star and system name box would make sense for the planet graphics, also might make a...

Ok, Ill definately put some more work into them.
Curantly ive been working on the maps for Zachs spinning planets.
Not quite finished there. But once they are it'll be the icons .

Looks promising, sorry im not much help, GUI design seams to generally leave my mind feeling blank. Something that does accur to me. While the Map in the middle is good. Just thinking : Cubical mapping might be easier. No distortion .
Would it be discernable with an orthagraphic viewpoint.
Sky boxes are sometimes like that but they arnt ment to be scrutanized.

The constalation , sector idea is something I really like alot. I want to deal with areas of space in what ever form they take. This is why I wouldnt choose the wrap around option myself. Nice idea Mystiqq, but there seem to me to be some major problems. North Star Players View South Star Imagine the above situation on 'sphere starmap'. Best route from North Star to South is directly through the players position. Since we cant do this in the game a ship must travel around the circump...
