Re: Diversity in AI species

I still fail to see the point of what LienRag was commenting. As far as I understood, the goal is to randomly vary one aspect of universe generation (which species are present) without changing anything else. This seems like a reasonable request for testing purposes, regardless of whether it's prac...

Re: Diversity in AI species

Presumably "had" instead of "hat" Oh. Yes, that would make sense. "hat" is the third person singular conguation of the verb "haben" in german, which are equivalent to "has" and "have" in english, respectively. "he/she/it has" <-> "er/sie/es hat". Both spoken and typed english by german native speak...

Yep, looks weird. Still can't tell what's going on just from screenshots though. A save would probably be helpful...

I'll make Terror Suppression a lot easier to adopt. I think it fits better for a low-influence-cost policy.

Re: Testing Government and Influence

Deficit means you are spending more than you have income (so influence upkeep higher than influence production). Debt means you have negative influence stockpile. (?) yes Not sure on all the ways to add stability, but its easy to have all your empire's planets rebel before you get out of your debt....

Zip the .sav file before attaching. As long as it's not too big, it should work.

Re: Testing Government and Influence

Shouldn't the apparition of rebel troops slow down or remove influence stockpile sinking into red numbers? Doesn't make sense to me... Rebel troop generation is a local effect on each planet, dependent on its stability level. Influence stockpile changes are a global empire calculation based on the ...

Re: Testing Government and Influence

It's really annoying that if a planet doesn't have 5 stability that production doesn't increase at all. Instead of being 0, I think the rate that production increases should just be slowed down. I could add a Colonial Bootstrapping economic policy that boosts resource meter growth independent of st...

Re: Testing Government and Influence

I keep mixing up "infrastructure" and "influence". I'm not sure which term is correct. For what you're discussing, probably only "influence" applies. I tried to see if I could get influence above 0. I thought if I improved supply by building outposts that would do it, but each outpost ended up maki...

Re: Testing Government and Influence

Most of the influence boosting policies aren't viable for me: I played gysache in a universe with a lot of empty space an monster guarded systems at my starting point. So centralisation would have killed my supply-support and actually would have cost more influence that it would have brought. Envir...

Re: Testing Reports

Latest Snap from Ophiuchus (downloaded last Friday I believe, from the "edge" channel). Apparently it has stuff that's not in master. Here my Stability is said to be raising at the rate of 1 per turn until it reaches a small but positive number, yet it gets down at a rate of 1 per turn instead... C...

Re: Testing Reports

A few bugs though : Here my Stability is said to be raising at the rate of 1 per turn until it reaches a small but positive number, yet it gets down at a rate of 1 per turn instead... Very confusing and quite demoralizing to see things deteriorate without any way to even understand what's happening...

Anything with the artistic tag in \default\scripting\species e.g. cynos, egassem, fiftyseven, human, misiorla, ourbools, scylior, silexian, sslith I tried but put aside making the pedia list species with a particular trait. There is code for doing something similar, but it's awkwardly set up and I ...
