Small yet important tool.
Like MOO3, I believe FreeOrion needs an alarm clock and/or a time reminder. It was the feature I needed most in MOO2, but didn't have and it was my favorite feature of MOO3. Anybody who has a job (unfortunately not me right now) knows how precious that little 'It's 8:00, Go to Work' alarm is. I've l...

It's unanimous, those are awesome pictures. I too would like to see some animation, but would be happy with the way they are now. Excellent job!

My fix.
My problem had to do with my unfamiliarity with Dev C++ (and maybe the fact that it is still a beta release). The fix was actually kind of silly. When I went to Tools\Compiler Options\Programs I had to manually reselect Make.exe from the list of programs and then bam it worked. Go figure. I tried to...

I did download expat from that site last night (I had seen Modulus with the same problem before) and I have added several files to each of the projects but I still can't compile. It gets all the way to the end of compilation when that error message occurs. Modulus, I think what you said went over my...

Where'd I go wrong?
Something to do with expat, I'm sure. F:\Dev-Cpp\Bin\..\lib\gcc-lib\mingw32\3.2\..\..\..\..\mingw32\bin\ld.exe: cannot find -lexpat make.exe: *** [../freeoriond.exe] Error 1 Execution terminated Any help you can offer would be appreciated. I can almost feel the compiled program! It must be close...

Well...
If nobody is willing or simply doesn't have the time to help me get involved, then can somebody at least point me to some files so that I can try to break down the code and see how it is done? Perhaps I can figure it out on my own. Or am I just missing the big picture here?
Thanks,
Jon

Programmer looking to help!
I have been programming using C++, Java, and Assembly Language for around 1 year now. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and am currently working towards an Associate in computer programming. The reason I am getting a degree in programming is because I want to program and design computer game...
