Re: Design: Detection and Visibility
I heartily concur with what Geoff and Tzlaine are advocating about hidden elements in initial exploration. It's exactly as I would wish it. I also support delayed discovery of higher tech specials. Large, obvious specials (like an artificial orbital, space monster, derelict ship, etc.)are discovered...

Re: You guys are still here? Really?
I'm still here, too. I found this site just after the original board crashed and all the original threads were lost (not backed up). That was something like April-May? of 2003.

Re: Hello I'm Vivianne
Hi Vivianne! Welcome to the site. If you like this genre of gaming, you'll have fun getting up to speed on the development of this one, there is a lot to see here. Re: Fighter missions
Bear in mind I'm referring to the GREATEST_THREAT_ TO a specific target , not to the entire system itself. The fighters are ordered to attack the greatest threat to the target they are assigned to protect. They fight with an offensive posture versus a defensive posture, however, they are attacking a...

Re: Fighter missions
I generally prefer to attack the strongest enemy vessel, not the weakest, when I'm able to. This was also the combat strategy of MOO1. In MOO1 auto resolve, the strongest ship design was attacked en mass . As I said, this suits my preference, however , there was a major drawback to this strategy whi...

Re: The Trayeggadora
Yes, they are from 4 years ago. However, the last one, and maybe the second one, also, were never posted on the forum at that time. We were told at the time that it was not a current priority, and wouldn't be until V0.8 came around. Obiwan and I worked on ideas together, very briefly, in 2004. It wa...

Another image of an elderly, veteran warrior, perhaps an old, retired Fleet Admiral.
