Re: Supply down on all planets, double lines, how to fix?

Found this is caused by simply not using up all the PP. I didn't know construction of one item was forced in to a minimal set of turns. I don't think lighting up the entire supply line is a good idea, makes people think there is something wrong with the supply line itself. Just the <!> is fine for t...

I've tried putting light houses at all the planets. That should detect stealthed ships?

Does the AI cheat?

The last game I played I had more planets, research and production the whole time but when I met the AI they clearly had multiple 1K + techs and I was still spending a long time to research 300 / 500 techs. Does the AI cheat?

Re: Supply down on all planets, double lines, how to fix?

The symbol and color for both situations is the same, Actually, on further reflection I think you and I both let ourselves get caught a bit too much by the OP's belief this was a supply issue-- the double-line coloration for supply lines is only caused by the under-utilized PP issue, which can some...

Supply down on all planets, double lines, how to fix?

The supply is down on the planets however there are no enemy ships on any of the planets. How do you fix this? Thanks

Re: Content: High-Level Strategic Options

This is a little general but - I think you should identify and divide as many routes as possible into rock / paper / scissors trumping each other. Then you need to devise a little code algorithm to play through some small scenarios to help see if things are balanced. Then you need lots of playtime b...

Re: MOO1 in Comparison

I definitely agree with bottle necks, but is it currently working that way? are passing ships forced to stop at every spot along a path? Man I'm addicted to MOO1 atm though lol. But it's easy, max pop, max factory, then make a dedicated research and ship builder planet and expand and conquer... use ...

MOO1 in Comparison

I just played a few games of Master of Orion 1 and I noticed that it is a full great game still. The only real issue with it was the resolution, simple controls / gui, and poor graphics. However the gameplay was still perfect. Having only 1 planet per star, no ship groupings, simple space combat, si...

Re: Colonizing problem?

Maybe just a little note that says "That ship can not colonize this planet" after you click the ship or "Outposts only" etc.

Re: Great Game

Ya I was thinking pretty much stick with MOO 1 as your base. That was the game that started it all. When they made MOO 2 and MOO 3 they already had the previous versions and had nothing else to do but add more to it. So that doesn't mean what they added was important, it means its all they could do ...

Re: Free Orion -- my first look.

Ya with a few early techs outposts become great mining / research areas especially considering how available they all are. Also since the outpost doubles as a low populate colony that is built super fast there is no real reason to make colonies. All of that I like though... I think you should start ...

Re: Spambots suck

The q&a worked for me and my forum perfectly. The thing is their bot is generic so they'd have to tweak it just for your forum which is an intolerable waste of time especially if you keep changing the questions as they program in the answers. However to my knowledge the question option first cam...

Re: Great Game

Honestly past knowing if the AI is hostile towards you or not, all diplomacy / spy / sabotage stuff is not worth it. I could play the game as it is now for days and days if you polished it some, got AI correct, balanced things (currently a rush strategy is unbeatable), and made a lobby server for mu...
