Re: GG CMake Tweaks
It builds without errors (with or without the new GG option) but the resulting FreeOrion executable produces an error for me: ./freeorion: symbol lookup error: ./freeorion: undefined symbol: _ZN5adobe9version_118local_new_delete_gE c++filt tells this is the mangled name of "adobe::version_1::lo...

Re: Linux freeorion executable
Ah, you evil man! It eat my younger one... Nah, kidding, it works for me. At least for Ubuntu 12.04 Live Image. It outputs something about failing to work with 'nouveau' driver but I didn't see any graphical artifacts. Sound is also working. For Kubuntu 10.10 Live Image though it produced pretty bad...

Re: Compiling gigi and freeorion on Gentoo Linux
2) freeorion compiles, but does not run with boost-1.49: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434952 I installed boost 1.49 as well but the game works for me (Ubuntu). Though I had a crazy problem that I couldn't solve for a long time but that was because I had two installations of Ogre and pkg-...

Hey, this is the fix (since it could happen and just happened) with someone else.
GPLv2 or later as usual.

Re: [PATCH] Add ignore for Cmake and other generated files
user@UbuntuPC:~/SoftwareProjekte/FO$ patch -p0 <'/home/user/Downloads/fo-cmake-and-exec-ignore.patch' patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input. So you'd have to upgrade to subversion 1.7 to provide a patch that we can apply. Well, you need to use a "svn patch" not just patch....

Re: [PATCH] Add ignore for Cmake and other generated files
This is described here. The problem is that I've only got version 1.6.Geoff the Medio wrote:When I make a similar patch, it has a few more lines at the top that yours lacks:

Re: [PATCH] Add ignore for Cmake and other generated files
The patches still fail to apply for me. I suspect it's an issue with my method of applying, or TortoiseSVN. I can manually replicate the ignore for Version.cpp, but the others have enough stuff that I'd probably miss something. So, I'll leave this for someone else to attempt to apply... I asked Vez...

Re: [PATCH] Add ignore for Cmake and other generated files
Here are the new patches: I splitted the change into three - for GG, for FreeOrion base folder and outstanding ignore for 'util/Version.cpp' as I don't know for sure if it should be ignored.

Re: [PATCH] Add ignore for Cmake and other generated files
That's bad. Unfortunately I can't try to apply the patch by myself since my version of SVN doesn't have patch command (sic!). I'll try to redo the whole thing tomorrow from scratch.Geoff the Medio wrote:The patch doesn't want to apply for me... TortoiseSVN just pops up an empty dialog with an X error icon, then closes.

Re: [PATCH] Fix input keys in non-English locale in Linux
I didn't include them, but they are available from the OIS SVN repository . The ReadMe (in the FO SVN or in OIS SVN) makes it look very simple to build. Nice. I'll try to import them back then. The extra building would also only be added for Linux, as presently OSX and Win32 use their own build env...

[PATCH] Add ignore for Cmake and other generated files
Hello. This is a patch that adds more stuff to svn:ignore properties in various places. These are mostly Cmake build generated files, Makefiles, GG tests and freeorion binaries (basically everything that shows in my svn status after fresh checkout and build). It will probably ease developing the gam...

Re: [PATCH] Fix input keys in non-English locale in Linux
Since OIS is in the FreeOrion repository, that can be done. Right now FreeOrion uses system libOIS on Linux. And I can't find building scripts in the OIS folder. Don't you think it would be an overkill to add a new build step, new scripts and new features - just to get a fix for a problem that appe...

Re: [PATCH] Fix input keys in non-English locale in Linux
That sounds like it will fix the typing issue with non-US keyboard layouts, which is good. I think it still needs at least some testing especially on Windows. But it also sound like there will be no way to use any hotkeys in Linux when using a non-US keyboard layout, since all keypress events are r...

[PATCH] Fix input keys in non-English locale in Linux
Hello. I figured out a small fix/workaround for inability to input keys in non-English layout in Linux. I don't know if it is the correct one so here are my observations: * The problem lies in OISInput::keyPressed getting an OIS::KeyEvent event with event.key field OIS::KC_UNASSIGNED in case of a no...

Re: Test Please
Any do you notice any font colouration quirkiness around linebreaks in the encyclopedia window, particularly when a single clickable link of multiple words (like a single ship design name or tech name that has two words but highlights all together when moused over)? I'm worried that just the part o...
