Re: How to build Windos build in Ubuntu(Docker)

Docker for windows provides virtualization via VirtualBox. Same for Docker for Mac. Docker runs within a Linux virtual machine on those platforms (neatly packaged and well hidden for the docker user), that's true. But there is no virtualization feature within Docker. mingw looks like a good directi...

Re: How to build Windos build in Ubuntu(Docker)

As I know it is possible to build for the window from other operating systems but I need some instructions. No, that's not possible with Docker. Docker provides process isolation, not virtualization. You share the kernel with the host system and that limits the available user space application. To ...

@Bestary:

Do you still have the source assets? How are they structured in terms of layers?

Re: Recommended flowchart software for tech tree?

Try mermaid . it is similar to graphviz, as it uses text to describe a graph. The online editor runs on any recent browser with enabled JavaScript. Other implementations exist to run mermaid from commandline Sharing documents is as easy as sharing the link to the editor (the editor link above is in ...

Re: prever a translation for german language

It looks to me like there are for some reason a number of entries in de.txt that are still entirely or largely in English, which should really not be the case (and might be interfering with some of the semi-automated tools I seem to recall being discussed for helping to flag when entries need to be...

Re: prever a translation for german language

The game already prefers the language used by the default system locale. You're playing the an outdated version as already mentioned in the other thread.

Also the German translation is stale for most parts.

Re: 0.4.8 roadmap

adrian_broher, you've previously made a dump of the commit messages since the last release, and if you could make that again it would be helpful. I can easily find the commits since about the time of the last release, but I'm not sure how to deal with commits merged after the release but actually m...

Re: 0.4.8 roadmap

So, my suggestion is to set the deadline for RC1 to Thursday next week, June 14th, 1pm UTC . Is that ok? Or should I give it a few more days (until Sunday 17th maybe)? Marcel? Dilvish? Geoff? Do whatever you seem fit. I'm just trying cram in some of the easy, old and low probability of breaking iss...

Re: 0.4.8 roadmap

Vezzra, what about issues labeled with 'category:feature' or 'category:tweak' within the 'v0.4.8 (optional)' milestone? Can we mass reassign those to the 'post v0.4.8' milestone? Maybe there are some relevant and simple bugs in the optional milestone that can be fixed without much of a hassle, but I...

Re: SDKv9 with current master (3cc71760)?

Relying on your users to have familiarity with your historical practices in order to sort out inconsistencies between various current documents is patently unreliable and seems like poor practice to me. What various documents are you talking about? There is only the README.md, inside the repository...

Re: SDKv9 with current master (3cc71760)?

@Dilvish Did you ever see a `with-FreeOrionSDK-v9` tag popping up in the freeorion/freeorion repository? I don't. Just because a SDK release happened this doesn't mean it's integrated or tested on any of those platforms that require the SDK. This process of SDK updates is not new, but years in place...
