Re: Starlane collapser?

I think the requirement of both of the planets to be populated is too strict. I was trying to think of how this would be controlled, and thought of using the planetary focus, which does not appear for outposts. You can control which starlane goes bye-bye by setting the focus at each end. Is there a...

Re: Self-reproducing Organic Hulls and more

Another thought that comes to mind is that the hull replicates, but not all the add-ons, like non-living weapons, additional propulsion, trooper pods (they independently reproduce using a different method), non-living armour, etc. There are a few living systems that become one with the ship that rep...

Starlane collapser?

I am using FO v 0.4.7 [ Build 2017-04-24.60d06dc] MVC2015. I have Starlane generators (Nexus, Bore) in the production queue, but if I can build a new starlane, I can also see strategic value in being able to remove an existing starlane. I think the Experimenters already have something like this. I p...

Re: The premade ship designs

I would like to see a Decoy and some of the other types of AI ships available in the list as well, at least at the low end of things, like a Griffin Mark 1, but maybe not a Griffin Mark 8.

I just do that to help keep track of things. Important when I am moving things manually, but would be less important if the sort routine is catching everything.

Re: Planet naming error

A work-around for the players would be to right-click and rename each planet: Krull Inner Asteroids, Krull I (leave it as is), Krull Outer Asteroids, Krull II, Krull III, etc. That does not solve the original problem but is a quick enough fix while playing the game.

Sorting lists

FO Version: 0.4.5 [build 2015-09-01.f203162] MSVC 2013 I know that this version is almost a year old, but it is what I downloaded from SourceForge. I would to propose the ability to sort the Research and Production queue lists according to various criteria. I would suggest adding "Sort >" as a menu ...

Transformers

In version 0.4.3 [ SVN 6281 ] In the help for Transformers: An versatile and extremely expensive building ... The leading "An" should be "A". I think it would be good to add links in the help to the various types of buildings that the transformer can reproduce the effect of, perhaps in the second pa...

Re: Feedback on V 0.4.3 [SVN 6281] MSVC 2010 on Windows Vist

Okay, now I see what I did as far as the terraforming issue. I kept putting exobots on barren worlds. These guys never get better than adequate environments, so any attempts to terraform an exobot-inhabited world that is already adequate ends up doing nothing. I have to put species more suited to th...

More ideas and thoughts.

So after playing a couple of games, I got thinking which of course is almost always dangerous . I have been playing version 0.4.3 [SVN 6281] MSVC 2010. When I press tab in many text boxes, such as Hull Name on the design screen, it inserts a tab, instead of going to the next text box or other contro...

Re: Feedback on V 0.4.3 [SVN 6281] MSVC 2010 on Windows Vist

- Terraforming a barren planet seems to do nothing, but it is allowed. Even if you get it to Gaia state, it just keeps reporting that it is getting closer, but it does nothing. Other types do seem to go from an adequate environment to a good one, so long as they avoid barren. Perhaps add a technolo...

Feedback on V 0.4.3 [SVN 6281] MSVC 2010 on Windows Vista

I have read a few of the other comments and found some are similar to my observations, but here are a few of my own, from playing a game to Victory (by researching Singularity of Transcendence) as the Gysache. - What do each of the icons in the Empires window mean? Perhaps a mouse-over event to show...
