Re: Seeding latest releases as torrents

I'm getting the same result on the amd64 build. Let me remake the torrent and I'll update the web page.

Torrents for FreeOrion Release

Hi all:

Just letting you know I've got torrents seeding at high speed for the current release if you need any extra bandwidth. The trackers are public so even if I pull my server out of the swarm the torrents won't die.

Re: Seeding latest releases as torrents

Here we go: http://texasxtreme.com/torrents/ All four versions of the current release are on there. Feel free to post them wherever. My upload is approximately 10MB/s. I reserve the right to stop seeding them at any time. But, I did not create the torrents with my own tracker so the swarm won't 'die...

Re: Seeding latest releases as torrents

I'd be willing to host some torrents. I have about a TB of bandwidth I don't use each month. As long as y'all know my business takes priority over the torrent nd I might rate throttle it as convenient to me.

New Game work in progress, untitled...

Hi all: I'm currently writing my own game. The graphics are quite spartan compared to FO; but, I figured we all have a similar passion and I'm seeking comments and constructive criticism. Here are two youtube videos of the current state of the GUI. I haven't really started programming game logic yet...

Maybe this for orbital construction? Alot of the theory icons that are needed lack a suitable concept :-) Kinda hard to do orbital construction or architectural monofilments etc. If you have any ideas to add to this let me know... It's a pretty simple 30 second photoshop that I just did... http://i7...

That's really not a bad system. I upped a small 128x128 png. This will work great for icons and other small images... in the future it probably won't do too well for say title screen images or race depictions or what not as it has a 1MB limit (or it automatically resizes 1MB images). We need to get ...

oh... I'm not that concerned... just read over the post and figured that some system would be needed at some point... if there's going to be a large amount of race based artwork we'll definitely need something to manage all of the graphical assets... or not.... Just looking forward... and making dru...

What Does FO need graphically at this point?

Subject says it all... I'd like to contribute, but it would help to have a little preplanning instead of just making random sci fi themed art....

Why not set up an repository with 2 directories...? Say a /pub and /approved kind of system... Make it FTP based where anyone can submit and then say the graphics leads and maybe some trusted users can tag submissions as 'keepers' and move them into the /approved dir? Just make the pub where people ...

I don't really care what system you use to determine HFOG (and I like your idea in the other thread Smile ) , as long as the end result is equivilent to larger empire = slower production & research. That just doesn't make any dam* sense... The larger empire should be able to out produce and out res...

Some of these ideas just don't make sense to me... It does make sense that sheer empire size should have some sort of different affect on research. BUT I think that research comes about by infrastructure FOR research instead of sheer empire size... (i.e. look at China vs Japan) BUT having larger amo...

My name is James, I'm 22/m/Texan (there must be something to being Texan and loving strategy and wargaming  ) I never played MOO1 but I spent some insane amounts of time with MOO2. I also was one of the lucky few that got to play Stars! in its heyday. Man what a game. Presently I've been playin...
