For the most part, I don't think the AIs play Sly very well unless they stumble across some good natives. It's interesting to me to play, as you need to think about things in a different way in many cases.

Tech is highly dependent on the size of game and subsequent number of turns. Plus the focus of your main species.

Nice explanation indeed (though WHAT constitutes the fleet icon is never explicitly showed - and no it's not obvious even with the bigger picture for someone who never played before), how come I wasn't able to see it in-game? I went through the full "quick tour" thing though... Oh, another question...

Please open an issue on github. With a test save file, and perhaps screenshots illustrating the issue, if possible. As I said, it's reproducible. All you have to do is set an outpost, start one species colonizing, and then another the next turn (assuming they have the same time to build of course)....

That is a bug. You should not be able to put PP in a colony project if you already have colonisation building/a species on the planet. You also should not be able to put PP in more than one colony project on the same planet at the same time. We could stop production in that case and send a sitrep w...

robotic shield interface item (already weak) is made a lot less useful
Robotic shields are weak? If anything I think they're overpowered.

I recommend always looking at the Pedia article. Such matters are usually mentioned:
This building can only be constructed at a Gas Giant and gives a +10 Industry bonus to planets with the Industry focus in the same system.
Multiple copies in the same system do not stack.

There are some "getting started" threads, but you do have to be careful in that the game changes. Advice a couple years old might not be as relevant. There's also the problem that any strategy varies by initial game setup. Games where you're likely to encounter AIs early are different than more spar...

I know they're supposed to be feline, but the small icon looks more rodent-like to me. I call them Rats.

It's best when you are playing Eaxaw. Right into the camps.
