Re: Ship Hulls

This is the icon version... I always thought the old graphic is a quite impressive drawing, but not a rendered 3D-model. @Bromstarzan: thanks and don't worry, that comment was just joking... Besides, I thought it might be possible to use an animated gif of the rotating 3D models in the design screen...

Re: Relief shipments using Generic Supply Ships

Yes, now I looked into the code and better understand the situation.
What is missing is a "land ship on own planet and unload something (e.g. building, troops etc.)" function.
Currently the possible interactions are indeed only colonize/outpost, bombard and invade.

Re: Ship Hulls

Since it was deemed not organic enough, I tweaked the texture and added some tentacles.
How about his?

Re: Relief shipments using Generic Supply Ships

I was thinking about a similar concept for some time, nice something like this is already being implemented. Here some ideas I came up with: For the issue of distributing the PP, how about using a building (e.g. "supply distribution center")? The building gets constructed through clicking on an "dep...

Re: Ship Hulls

 Away for just half a year or so and my carefully textured graphics get turned into green wire-frames... :?
Anyway, here a new set of graphics for the self-gravitating hull:

Re: Ship Hulls

I tried another, lighter color with a blue/cyan tint. Looks actually better I think, and different from the much darker basic hull.

Re: Ship Hulls

Made new graphics for the Spatial Flux Hull.
I intended the external slot positions to be that retractable nose-cone and the square cargo/weapons-bay door with the orange line around it.

Re: Standard Ship Hulls

I put up a pull request to include the ship graphics as described. The side view for generic hull is actually looking down on the hull at about 30 degree, only noticed after looking at the 3D model. I used that angle as well, since the hulls look rather boring exactly from the side. Large hull seems...

Re: Standard Ship Hulls

I used Blender to make these and the textures are also contained in the Blender file, so no problem to provide them in one package.
Thanks for the explanation about the repository, I used git before, but not github, but i think I can figure it out. I'll come back to it soon when I have some time.

Standard Ship Hulls

Hello. I made some graphics for the large and medium standard hulls...
If you intend to use them and need a rendering from another angle or the 3-D model, let me know.
