I'm not feeling a lot of interest in this, so i think i may table it for now. I'm happy to do it if people think it's worthwhile, but maybe it's better put off until the next overhaul of the tech tree.

I assume you refer to the "spectre" and "meltdown" expoits? Because these, as far as I understand, are not an Intel only problem... meltdown, from what i've read, is pretty much intel only. (one arm chip is affected and possibly some other vendors outside of the "big 3") spectre has a broader impact.

A planet focused on Growth increases the max. Population only of other planets connected to it by [[metertype METER_SUPPLY]] lines, and only if there is no other planet exporting the same grow special connected to the same [[metertype METER_SUPPLY]] line. I don't really like combining this new info...

I am not finding the object window, is it not in the Ubuntu 17.10, .0.4.7 build? I haven't used that version specifically, but you ought to be able to find the Objects window button in the bar in the upper right. The icon looks like 3 bubbles. It's fourth from the left, between the crown (Empires) ...

Vezzra found later a reason why the single-transfer-limit-approach will not work. I was suggesting a fix to the problem, which uses different values for input and output. Here's the first one i've had in a while (i think since the first game i ever played) where i got to a point where i felt like i was losing. This was largely due to my getting greedy, but it's a fairly challenging setup, i think.:

Good idea, but you should probably open a feature request issue for that on github. Ideas like that just left here on the forum have this tendency to get buried and forgotten... ;) Will do.
