Just playing a little civ and I had a thought about 2 players building the same wonder. In FreeOrion if two players start building the same wonder the same round and finish the same round what happens? I think the differences make them overly complex. That's my opinion anyways. I mean they can already cost different amounts, take up different space, have different accelerations, max speeds, maneuverability, different drive signatures (detecting them in space), not to mention where they will be mad...

IMO it would be better to trust on the natural specialisation that will orrur during the game. People will not be able to stay up to date in the reseach race with all techs. I like that idea. The only way to get really really good lasers would be to specialize in them. Kind of reminds me of Star Trek actually.
