I have a planet with Fulver speices which is a lithic metabolism not telepathic and it has psychogenic focus available.

looks like I don't understand speices types?

A lot of people, including myself, aren't real fond of games where making the AI better is by allowing it to "cheat". Could you elaborate on the "some mechanism" part? I agree with the OP that AI can't catch up once player reacehs a level of "confortable" gameplay.
