If you don't like certain words then feel free to edit them out in your head. I worded it like a new discovery. I'm not married to the specific wording by any means, I didn't spend long writing or proofreading that description. Most of your questions are not applicable: Lasers are not involved. This...

I believe that all you have to do is explain them correctly and starlanes will make perfect sense. I can come up with a technology to explain practically any game effect, so here is the technology I would use to explain both the existence of starlanes and the occasional longer lanes (wormholes): LBR...

I'm not big on the idea of charging the player for stuff. I find that most games tend not to tell the player about all the things they are being charged for. GalCiv is a good example of this.. many of the buildings charge upkeep, and even some of the ones that increase your income by some percent ca...

Thirteen is not the answer, the answer "has" 6 letters.. and all that other stuff. I'm generally don't remember the ones that are so "hard" that I consider them obscure, but if you like.. here's one: A little pool with two layers of wall around it. One white and soft and the other dark and hard, ami...

Has to be stupidity :)

Here's a good one:

A word I know, Six letters it contains, Subtract just one, And twelve is what remains.

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it. Actually nothing is wrong with it, but it is unusual. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. If you work at...

You know, when you capitalize "His" in the title you make it look like you think you are a deity.

Good job, but remember it's a golden chain, so if you make just one cut in the third link you can take the chain apart like this: ** * ****

What can be held by anyone, is lighter then a feather, and yet even the strongest man can't hold it for long?

You have a seven link golden chain. You want to stay at an inn in which you have worked out the price of one golden link per day. What are the fewest amount of cuts in the chain that you can make in order that you can pay the inn keeper upfront each day, but still have the liberty of leaving at any ...

This game is being designed for multiplayer without any real single player capability. If I do decide to add a single player AI at some point it will be a very long time from now and I plan to cross that bridge when I come to it. I've done quite a deal of research on the market and have come to the ...

No one is purposing that freeorion do this davey. Freeorion has a much different set of goals then my project does. I realize how much extra work is involved, and it's not really as much as you make it out to be. The UI system has to be a lot more flexible then it would otherwise. There is a scripti...

Based on the number of new people that come here and say "Starlanes? ugg.." I would guess that if it ever comes to post v1.0 development then starlanes would be on the top of the queue.

Have you ever read "Red Mars" and it's two sequils? I think they do a very good job, but they also don't go very far into the future.
