Re: compilation troubles

I didn't get any compiler errors compiling freeoriond revision 2082. Most likely micr's issues are caused by conflicts introduced by svn update. This will resolve all conflicts by reverting all changes:

Code: Select all

$ svn revert -R *

Re: compilation troubles

Nope. Compile errors remain, now they are about UniverseObject not being declared. This mysterious preprocessor behavior can be attributed to circular #includes: UniverseObject.h #includes Universe.h, but Universe.h #includes Ship.h which in turn #includes UniverseObject.h . This contradiction prove...

Re: compilation troubles

I have the same compile errors as the poster above. Somehow contents of UniverseObject.h are before contents of Universe.h in preprocessor output. #ifndef _Ship_h_ #include "Ship.h" #endif #ifndef _EmpireManager_h_ #include "../Empire/EmpireManager.h" #endif #ifndef _Empire_h_ #include "../Empire/Em...

Re: new forum software reaction

I tried to set the URL to this location: http://av104635-1.comtv.ru/Good-evening ... s80x80.jpg
It doesn't appear to redirect, the image is scaled to 80x80 and it's much faster than the old location. That's why I wanted to change it in the first place.

Re: new forum software reaction

I am unable to change URL to my avatar. It just says
"It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."
Changing avatar dimensions or leaving them blank has no effect.

Another request: http://freeorion.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1651 It's good idea. Since freeorion is only app that uses GG, using shared GG library is pointless, there is no one to share it with. GG's scons script builds only dynamic libs by default, so freeorion's scons script should invoke GG's sc...

The objection about having to wait and watch for ships to replenish to adequate levels is valid, but if one can replenish instantly by travelling right to a source, isn't this enough? You wouldn't be able to replenish instantly when far from the source, but you wouldn't have to wait long periods of...

I don't see any reason to keep FMOD, even as an option. No sound is an option too. Is there a difference between libboost-graph-dev and BGL...? I assume libboost-graph-dev is part of boost, though I can't find a relevant-looking lib or dll in C:\Boost\lib on WinXP... How is it different from the ot...

What about the OpenAL stuff? I'll work on it. Maybe add command-line option to choose sound API? Also: libboost-graph-dev isn't checked for... :shock: That check would be too distribution specific. Maybe it means check for BGL? Header-only library? Should be checks for stdio.h added too? :lol:
