Also, if you click on Unavailable under Producible Items then hover the mouse over the item it will show you why you can't build that.

It's possible to get to 210 with a Panopticon. Had to do this once myself, had a planet I couldn't see even with 200.

Do you frecuently srap your obsolete ships? Generally it is a good idea due to fleet upkeep if you aren't using them anymore, though I don't make a habit of it myself. I'm playing with the normal dificulty AI, but they get agresive too early and i feel that i'm focusing too much on research than on...

The discussion reminds me of the star drives in the old traveller RPG. There you had drives which could do a n-jump (1-jump, 2-jump, 3-jump, 4-jump..) with 1-jump ships being the normal thing. Don't see the point of this, flak being a fighter countermeasure. Think about naval fleets, they don't often use flak (anti-aircraft defenses) to sink light escort ships, do they? Well, in that case I strongly recommend opening a feature request issue. After all, suggestions here on the forum tend to get buried and forgotten if they aren't picked up somewhat quickly by someone who decides to implement it. The self repair techs were for more proper repairs when a drydock is not available, and requiring the ship be stationary. I added supply requirement to advanced field repair. Phase 3: Ships and planetary batteries I assume ships have longer range weapons than fighter so I would let ships shoot in the first phase. I could see planet based weapons, not being as restricted size/power wise as ships are could have a longer range, though there is also getting through the plan...

Could be something armed in the system (another empires vessel or monster) with a higher stealth then you can see.
