I guess the wining condition should be capture all enemy faction planets and units,
independent non empires are usually no threat

- late game stage play against bots is kinda boring it becomes a drag to manage the units even with a default small 150 system universe, and all the while you feel you already won and it cant escape you perhaps some balancing shoudl be doen there (dunno what) I do see bots build all the advanced wea...

The compile isn't a debug build as far as I can tell, it makes stripped optimized binaries -O3/-O2 -s when observing the cmake buildprocess when its building. The AI threads do DEBUG loglevel logging when it's running, leading to quite large logfiles, seen them at 40MB a piece (however this has litt...

this was while displaying the techtree, when viewing the starmap it drops back to 50% cpu load

Resizing windows (ie the fleet list) is also extremely slow, it makes the program hang and stutter at 1 fps for a while.

I tried profiling the program, but can't find a clear obvious place in the code that causes it, but relatively alot of time was spent in strcmp_sse2

I think the general slowness, even when not doing anything, is caused by cpu load, not GPU load. Text rendering seems slow, when testing it in the researchtree, zoom out till text is gone ; fps rises , zoom slightly back in till text appears ; 75% fps hit from 50 to 10 fps All the while the Graphics...

I agree, space should feel vast, it plays almost no role now in my games against AI
