Re: [Request] Save position of windows

I've also been working on it, it's partly functional but not yet finished... I don't know how far you've gotten though, vincele.

Re: GUI Improvements

PR is up for review. It adds checks to make sure that CUIWnds are contained entirely within their parents or the app window if they're parentless and makes the HumanClientApp instance validate all of the modal CUIWnds when the app window size is changed. Preventing the map view popups (sitreps, ped...

Re: New Validators to deal with "app-left-windowed" errors.

Added a new commit, I should probably have linked to the branch comparison rather than the individual commit.

New Validators to deal with "app-left-windowed" errors.

Currently in HumanClientApp.cpp, the "app-left-windowed" config option is given a default value using an SDL-defined macro indicating that the window should be centred (0x2FFF0000 on my machine, don't know if it's different on other versions/platforms) rather than an actual screen position. This jus...

MSVC projects reference nonexistent headers

I've noticed that some of the projects in the msvc solutions have some header files that don't exist, possibly removed without updating the projects. The projects and the files they reference are: FreeOrion: universe/Names.h FreeOrionCA: universe/Names.h, combat/CombatOrder.h FreeOrionD: universe/Na...

Re: GUI Improvements

I don't think making it optional is necessary... I can't think of any examples where we wouldn't want this behaviour to tell you the truth, it was mainly conservativeness on my part. Another would-be-nice CUIWnd feature is docking to the edges of the parent window, [...] You've read my mind  ...

GUI Improvements

I've come across some fixes for minor problems while working on the GUI code and I'd like to put them up for discussion. I originally implemented these fixes in the GraphicalSummaryWnd but they could be useful for all windows derived from CUIWnd. Adjusting CUIWnd::SizeMove to allow parentless window...

Re: [patch] Graphical Combat Summary

Sorry for the double post but I have a bugfix patch ready, hopefully in time for the git migration. It addresses some of the graphical layout and code layout issues brought up earlier such as proper sizing & layout of the graphical summary when first opening it/switching from the other tab, preventi...

Re: [patch] Graphical Combat Summary

Thanks for the feedback. I think this is definitely worth pursuing further because a "post-combat summary" will be increasingly useful as the game gets more tactical depth and some of the features added while implementing this could be useful elsewhere. I suggested a separate tab so that people coul...

Re: [patch] Graphical Combat Summary

I've been following this project for a while (excellent game so far btw) and since I recently got MSVC working I decided to familiarise myself with the codebase. So far I've played around with the graphical summary idea and got a basic alternate design working, based on Mitten.O's code. I apologise ...
