Re: Ship part balance

What is your typical turn when you are getting deathrays? In my games when I get my power-spike ship hull (quantum/bioadaptive) I don't have enough time/RP to get deathrays so I stop on plasma + Diamond level (happens around 90-120 turn). By that time I usually have quantum networking, adaptive aut...

Re: Ship part balance

Ah plasma is interesting!
If you want some inspiration on plasma, I left a link to a in my opinion great space weather news channel in Offtopic.
It features literally tons of plasma, that would damage if we weren't shielded

Extended weather report including space

Hey, I've been watching a very interesting space weather news channel on youtube. It's a daily report including the weather phenomena on other planets and the sun. It's a great inspiration about plasma, cause it features every day highlights of dancing plasma filaments on the solar surface with a ea...

Re: Fuel vs Supply—feedback needed

I have been more often with fighers busy cutting incoming enemy supplylines, if it is possible to push them back with space elevators or the logistic focus I would maybe use them more often. Haven't tested this so far I guess... Using organic ships that regenerate fuel I don't make use of fuel ship ...

Re: Ship part balance

Some more ideas, maybe second research development behind the former spoken of "space plasma converter", the "plasma tsunami generator" a special plasma tech for a core slot, that uses the energy that goes normally in to the weapon systems on charge, to generate a huge electromagnetic pulse that sho...

Re: Ship part balance

Yeah I skip Plasma too... Earlier I sometimes went directly from massdriver4 to deathray skipping laser and plasma. Sometimes I get deathray at ancient ruins, thats lucky skipping the long time developing laser1 and plasma1. Now I skip mass driver 2, 3, 4, go directly to laser as the updated version...

Re: Isolated planet

I experienced isolated systems more than one time, it didn't really bug me... and now having starlane bore, why not. Once I was even isolated with my homesystem with several other systems from the rest of the universe... that wasn't really playable I think these missing starlanes appear often near t...

Re: Segfault and prerequisites for partially unlock missing

Had another one of these crashes on turn 147 same game as above... unexpected this time in research. Just wanted to look up the Electromagnetic Damper in the Research screen pedia. Backtrace again says exactly the same. I haven't included the logs yet as they are rather big files, if they are necess...

Re: Segfault and prerequisites for partially unlock missing

Last reported one isn't reproducible... One thing that came to my mind is that it often happens when I haven't used the wiki long time. Normally I know what I want and primerly use sitrep, production and research, so I expand and only rarely use pedia for suitability checks. It never crashes with th...

Re: Segfault and prerequisites for partially unlock missing

Hello, got the crash again, once on yesterdays build and it just happend again on build 447ff04 from today. The backtrace looks exactly the same as last time except of the memory addresses. But this time I was just sorting out where kraken nests are located using the pedia. I opened the pedia by rig...

Re: git why bigger fonts?

Didn't notice the change as I load my favorite config by commandline on first start and set font sizes to 11 with 1920x1200 resolution. I like a bit smaller Text and room in the middle :) My actual Config suits me fine, the frames around the producible list items text might have a bit more spacing. ...

Thanks yeah, that's what I meant.
So often the native scrying sphere site was already in detection range before I could build one one myself, at some insignificant spot of my empire.
Building it though reveals nothing new.

Re: Scrying Sphere

That's pretty cool... the scrying sphere revealing the impeding doom on the galaxy... almost like from a movie script :D Yeah it's some kind of cool in one way because of the dramaturgy having the info released by this artifact, compared to getting the info by a sensor update! But logically I would...

That scrying sphere on nahar was actually found and showed me venice and theemim. But if one is build, would have the same effect?
