Instructive (brief) preview of Civ IV at Gamespot

#1 Post by Laccase »

I feel bad for starting a thread just to post a link to a preview article at Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/civ ... 29411.html but I think its very interesting to see how the Civ IV developers handle game balance issues, micromanagement, religion and multiplayer etc. The preview is somewhat brief but in my opinion we could compare their approach to FO's and evaluate where FO is heading.

Yes, should be moved to strategy games.
But interesting, nevertheless.

I've moved this to strategy games.

Ever since Civ IV was announced, some of their ideas and approaches have reminded me of FreeOrion and decisions we've made. I'm looking forward to playing Civ IV.
