Request for graphics for new hull SH_COMPOSITE_SPATIAL_FLUX

#1 Post by Ophiuchus »

Composite Spatial Flux Hulls are expensive special purpose built ship hulls built around a single core part using [[tech SHP_COMPOSITE_SPATIAL_FLUX]]. It has one core slot and one external slot, and its max [[metertype METER_STRUCTURE]] is high.

The flux propulsion is an integral part of the ship structure, so the whole hull can be considered being an engine. SHP_COMPOSITE_SPATIAL_FLUX tech is the mastery of bending flux bubble drives and combining it with flux drives to power arbitrary hull shapes.

It has the spatial flux stealth and is similar to the other two flux hulls: detection is medium and speed is average. Requires an orbital drydock to build

Necessary pictures as far as I know: the big hull graphic to show the hull from the side in the ship design window, a small version of that graphic for the pedia entry, and mid-sized image from a different perspective (three-quarter view?) for use in the hull type picker (left side of the ship design window). I think the hulls we have were all modeled using blender.

Probably we will reuse the hull pic also for the tech.

For the hull graphic - it would be great if it could consist of distorted bubbles which are merged and connected or something like a klein bottle. On top of those blobs there could be well known space opera ship features like a single weapon turret, scanners...
Any code or patches in anything posted here is released under the CC and GPL licences in use for the FO project.

Look, ma... four combat bouts!
