Here's a model I've been working on for a hour or so.
It's a swarmer, it was inspired by Homeworld (the Kadeshi).
I'm also working on a version with pure textures:
It has a 512 x 512 jpeg for the textures (though the quality is a bit low).

Yes, I recently played through HW1 again, so I got the idea to create a similar swarm craft.
It would be cool to have something like it in Free Orion.

Making a ship with high detail is easy, but it becomes a lot harder when you have to make it within a certain limit of triangels/polygons.
The low poly version is only 100 triangles (something like that runs really smooth ingame).
