hi,

i've done some minor changes, hope you like it. in my mind it looks much cleaner now.

simply replace the original ones.

That does look nicer, I think. The backgroud stars were a bit too bright.

Its been a while since I checked with you guys. :D FreeOrion still keeps my hopes up that might be a nice MOO-inspired game out there...

It looks cramped. Maybe the font size for the system names can be smaller.

Also, on top of having different "star colours" to represent the system, perhaps have different sizes too, so some systems look smaller than others (not necessarily tied to the actual number of planets in the system, of course)

the map window is completely zoomable (and works very well i might add). This is the more zoomed out view, thus looking cramped.
