You've got real talent
well, in my mind talent descibes only how fast you can learn... nothing more.

with the 3d stuff it's the same as with coding, it takes time and practise to learn(patience is the key here). i'm still far away from being satisfied with my work(well maybe i'll never be *g*)

good tutorial sources are 3dtotal.com and maybe a bit more related to freeorion scifi-meshes.com

That was a really nice animation - kudos!

Now if we had about 4 diffent kinds for each different type of planet type (barren, gaia, Tundra, etc) I think people would simply be stunned.

BTW: is that the smallest it can be compressed? (.mov format?).

other planets will folllow the next days.
BTW: is that the smallest it can be compressed? (.mov format?).
this .mov was basicly an accident ;) don't give attention to it, it's way to big(in resolution and filesize) and the rotation isn't clean.

atrocities: loooking better now ;) try to desaturate the colors a bit, and maybe aply a shadow to the clouds.
