new shipparts

#1 Post by The Silent One » Sat Jan 09, 2016 4:36 pm

I've started working on the new bombardement ship parts, and have so far completed the "ray part" of the images, examples below. I could use some help though: would one of the 3D artists be willing to contribute the (3D) weapon graphics for the images? I'd appreciate it.

Some criteria for the graphics would be:
- some similarity between the basic and the advanced bombardement weapon
- a clear distinction to the space combat beam weapons

How do these two look? Too similar to space combat beam weapons?

They do look a little similar, but nonetheless I think they're awesome, thanks! Some more rays:

@TheSilent One:

Those are excellent. Did you also make the ship images in the latest test build?

Cheers

Note that I only did the rays, the beautiful models are unnamed's work.

No, they were made by a new contributor, "V-ktor". -- If you are reading this, V-ktor, good job, and thank you for your contribution. --

Can you make a github pull request adding any new art to the main repository, and can you also add the assets used to create the images to the assets repository?

Excellent. I was beginning to wonder if I had to provide a graphic for that, and trust me, nobody wants that... :twisted:

I know this is off-topic, but I saw your gorgeous launch bay and thought: here's where we get our space elevator.
