Is it something wrong with the domain name?

I can not acess any more http://www.freeorion.org and I'm forced to go via the IP adress 209.197.90.23 (if you can read this means that you already know it :)

There is indeed something wrong! I'm not sure how long it will take to resolve. Unfortunately it's the easter weekend, so businesses aren't as contactable. I posted about this on the mailing list:

BTW, you could update freeorion.sf.net/index.html accordingly

Seems now that freeorion forum is released in Israel. It's funny to write from right to left with strange characters :)

Yeah, you need to go to your profile, and change the default language from "Hebrew" to "English" to fix this.
kthxbye.

Thanks.
Lucky me, I chosed the correct #$%^#@# option and after this pressed the good $#%# button. I didn't know that the third zzzz option is the "Notify me when a reply is posted".
Next time if somebody wants to translate it in greek, arabian or chinese it will be a good idea to not make it the default language.

The Hebrew was an April Fools change :) It has all been returned to normal now for those who didn't change back to English manually.

(Though it was funny trying to figure out the meaning of the Hebrew text.)

Took me a while to find the freeorion forums via the ip address, but at least that alternative method exists as a back up.

the original owner of the domain, doesn't pay anymore and he isn't associated with freeorion since a long time as far as i know.

the problem is, we can't simply change the ownership because he doesn't respond to any mails and the domain provider has set the domain on hold for now. we have to wait 3 months or something, until it expires and we can reregister.

There's a chance I might be able to get control of the domain now, earlier, so hopefully this works.
