I'll sit this out as well. Have great ideas for an FO Mod and like to invest some time into it...

L29Ah, a suitable thread for discussion is here ( https://freeorion.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11404 ) and you're very welcome to suggest alterations, if you missed to do so earlier.

Note that if L29Ah is wrong about the field having been added by a single person (you were two), he's right that its adoption went unusually quickly (proposed October 30 and merged October 31 if I understand correctly), which for an addition with heavy effects on game balance is probably not the way to go.

Maybe making them way quicker will make them less "unbalanced, dumb, [standing] against freeorion's philosophy" (and changing the formula certainly helped) but it's not only alterations that we should be able to suggest, their very existence should be a matter of debate¹...

Ditto for the Nanite Swarms, obviously.

¹ About which I will reserve my judgement until the new version is tested, provided that their speed is upgraded enough and their duration not shortened.

The field effects were at time of merging (ofc) impromptu and meant to be adapted/balanced timely. Like I said, alterations welcome. No evil master plan to kill balance  .

I'd been wondering what happened to this. Been pretty busy but I guess I have time to play.

I'd be willing to play with 48hr turns instead if it means another couple of players avaliable. Just putting the idea out there.

I would be able to do 48h turns.

Just dont know anything about current policies and strategy, so I would rather welcome a team(s) vs team(s) game where knowledge exchange is a prime priority.

Anyway I would also play not-teams - just very badly I guess ;)

Regardless of teams, I'll be publicly sharing anything I learn or think about policies and gameplay. I'm more interested on playtesting and knowledge exchange than in victory.

I'm fine with 48h turn limit as well if it help to increase player count. Should I add you to the game? If so I'll announce next week to start the game.

If any players have time and motivation, a regularly updated thread about what your in-game situation is and what decisions you're making and why would be useful, ideally with screenshots for illustration. A Let's Play thread, essentially...
