(the speakers of all the pots in the galaxy cringed with static noise, all at once)

Citizens of the Oberlus Empire!

Our pots are trembling in woe while staring amused at the new starlane that connects our sacred homeworld to the incomming death in the form piles of angry mindless worms controlled by some childish entity.

Nothing can be done to stop these worms from invading our mother land and desecrating our way of life. There is no point in trying to negotiate with this entity ...static... (are you sure? have you tried?) (shush! finish the speech!)

But we will not surrender. And we will not let these sneaky traitors to get away with it unscathed.

Hear us now, George: every affront you make to us will be paid back in spades.

After eons of not sharing with the worms the earthly delight contained within their pots, the Overlord of Sunlight's master plan was born, and revenge was sweet indeed. We will not succumb to your spades, as you despicably describe, and your horrific attempt to play on our worst nightmares involving spades, and instead will rampage forever through your empire.

Oh, you scared of spades and shovels? That makes sense. Well, shoveling shit is an honorable profession.

Sorry for yesterday, no connection at home and I didn't want to play at work.
Probably shouldn't have played at work today either since I played too fast and lost a fleet because of that...

It doesn't matter if I play at work or at home, I keep losing fleets...

The fleet of self-gravs that couldn't move, because they had no fuel? I doubt you were saving them, work or no work.

Yep, but with it there were ships that were able to move, IIRC.
I didn't even see that you were preparing the attack (I knew that it was coming, but didn't see that it was coming just now).

I'll be travelling without a computer again for a week from Saturday 16th to Saturday 23rd so I won't be able to play. Daybreak can have delegation rights though it would be best if not too many turns were done in my absence since now we're at quite an interesting part of the game.

Of course he can't. No body would travel without a laptop while there is a FO game going on, unless force majeure...

Daybreak, what you can do to delay the game (as per Endhu's wish) without risking to miss a turn for his Empire, is what Ophiuchus used to do : you put Endhu's orders and wait a few minutes for them to be transmitted to the server, but don't click to turn.
That way the orders are given, but they will be put into effect only after 48 hours.
If you play his empire before he's the last to play, you can even turn for him and then revise the turn, so that you're certain that the orders are actually given.

I was going to do a turn a day, but every 48 hours is probably better

is it
a) the 48 hours is a fixed period, meaning it occurs at a certain time of the day, and if so what time?; or
b) the 48 hours starts afresh as of the time the last turn occurred?
