Substantial UI lag on ordering splitting a fleet

Playing with 76253e4, and I'm noticing real delays if I do anything in FleetWnd, especially if I use the right click/split damaged ships option but also when merging or removing individual ships manually. Seems to be recent, anyone else noticed anything and/or is there an obvious weirdness before I open an Issue?

MatGB, the most recent changes to the FleetWnd are from PR 1458.

Does pull from just before those changes improve your performance?
