Hi,

first time poster here 8)
I just started playing FreeOrion (v0.46 on Linux) and I have to say I am very pleased and quite impressed so far.
I made a couple of games against the AI and I am still quite overwhelmed by the huge tech tree.
To help me in the process of finding some research strategies I created a spreadsheet with tech trees regarding hull-techs (and prerequisites).
May be someone will find it usefull too, here is a link to my cloud space:

You will find two file versions there (*.xlsx = Excel-Version and *.ods = Open Office Version).

The files are provided as is, and I will not guarantee that everything is correct.
Especially the research cost values may differ from the real values.
Constructive feedback is welcome.

Welcome DonCarlos,

Have a look around. There are several posts here and there where players discuss what they think are optimal research paths in the early game. That might be helpful, or at least interesting.
