usful ship hulls

#1 Post by godel »

What could be a useful ship hull varient is a fighting hull without engines.
In the original Moo, there was a base near the planet. This is what I am thinking of.
You already have non-fighting, limited slot hulls.

Also, on another topic, what are decoys?

Decoys are the colony or outpost base hull, filled with whatever's usefull in parts (don't remember). It can't move, so it would be what you mean, in a way. But I think it has no external slots, hence no weapons. It's just cheap cannon fodder, basically.

The idea is not new, it's just that no one has made something like that yet. We would need a Starbase Hull. I'd like to see that, too, actually.
Attached patches are released under GPL 2.0 or later.

I think some sort of star base hull would be great to create an orbiting defense force in a system that can attack intruders (which means it has external slots for weapons), but can't move.
If this post contains code, it's released under GPL 2.0 or later.
