Big images of species

#1 Post by Bestary »

Found that there are a lot of free space in the right side of species' info page, and so: what about to make bigger pictures (besides cute common little white icons)?

I love to draw various creaters and think I can draw all of FreeOrion species. Now I create just sketches (not finished ones) of three - Scylior, Trenchers, Ugmors (picked races with mostly different appearence). Remember, that Ugmors are actually golems (created from rocks, metal and charged yeast). If you find something wrong, please, say it.

P.S. I accepting CC license ^^

More eye-candy certainly won't hurt, and the sketches look good!

Incorporating "big" species pics into the species pedia articles shouldn't be too hard AFAIK.

These Scyllor are so cute, maybe too cute - I'll feel guilty if I ever go to war with them again. :wink:

Could you be specific? i.e. you release all posted images under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license?

Yes, I undestand. I planned to create medium PNG-files (needs opacity). I will try to give them size not bigger than images of the galactic structure (for example). :)

Yes.

You're very talented. 8)

But I have the same minor grip than Jaumito, maybe these sketches are too cute. Come on, who would want to destroy and conquer Wall-E? :cry:

However, it won't hurt to have these nice visuals in the game as they are now.

I didn't mean it as a gripe - more like a mix of emphasis and tongue-in-cheek comment.

@Ouaz, thank you! ^^

That's really a fait - everything that I draw turns cute (sometimes it's become a real problem, when I need to draw evilness enemy). :D But not this time, I hope. :D :D

Hi, Bestiary.
Great job.
Could it be possible to give the teddy bears bodies some more rocky, polyedric aspect?
