Testing Help Request

#1 Post by Geoff the Medio »

Could anyone who has a semi-recent, working (compiled) version of FreeOrion from CVS try out this save file?

http://home.cogeco.ca/~toppingwebspace3/test1.sav

When I load it up, I get something like this:

Image

Note the "screwed up" fleet lines, coming out of nowhere, rather than from a fleet icon as they should be.

I need other testers because when tzlaine loads up the save, he gets things working as they should be. This is a problem, as it's rather difficult to fix something you can't reproduce. It also makes me wonder if it's just me, or perhaps something different about windows vs. linux, or something else platform specific.

Whether it works for you or not, please reply with your results.

Thanks.

FWIW, I loaded the save file you sent me using the Windows build.

The fleet paths are also messed up in my version, though I haven't compiled with the latest commits as of about 10 hours ago...I don't think that will matter though.

My fleet paths in that save game appear wrong in a slightly different way to yours. Can provide a screenshot later.
